BAI close to finishing broadcast guidelines for referendum coverage

The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) will finalise guidelines which will apply to the coverage of all referendums in the coming weeks.

Previously, guidelines were issued for each referendum. As with prior referendums, the BAI will offer information sessions for broadcasters when the guidelines are published. BAI staff will also be available to broadcasters during the campaign period if they need any clarification on the guidelines or coverage.
