Asda calls time on Black Friday
The supermarket said "shopper fatigue" has set in
Asda, the British supermarket chain, said it is opting out of Black Friday this year.
The supermarket imported the event from its US parent Walmart, but said that after two successive years "shopper fatigue" has set in "around flash sales on big-ticket, non-essential items at Christmas".
