An Post ‘abused dominant position’

An Post’s publications services product has attracted the scrutiny of the Competition Authority, which last week ruled that it had abused its dominant position by imposing selective mail pricing on publishers of newspapers, magazines and periodicals.

Complainants alleged that An Post pricing was applied in a manner aimed at securing exclusivity from its customers.
