INM: digital revenue offset decline in publishing revenue

Independent News & Media (INM) has reported a 4 per cent rise in operating profit to €34 million last year as strong growth in digital revenue offset a decline in publishing revenue. The media group also said that advertising grew for the first time

“Despite the many challenges facing our industry, the group businesses submitted a strong performance in 2014. There was a significant focus on ensuring that the group’s titles and hugely successful digital offering are both aligned and calibrated to meet the continued challenges facing news publishing both now and throughout the cycle.”

Robert Pitt, INM group chief executive
