Irish Dog Foods is set for expansion having acquired Bennington Foods, the Lincolnshire-based manufacturer of semi-moist dog and cat food products for the British market.

The company’s managing director, Liam Queally, said the acquisition would “Brexit-proof” the Irish-owned pet food arm of the Arrow Group. A multimillion euro expansion under way at the Lincolnshire facility will take floorspace from 100,000 square feet to 140,000 square feet by the end of the year.
