40 per cent of borrowers in 'deep' arrears not engaging with banks

Central Bank research has found that while the overall level of mortgage loans in arrears is decreasing, for those who are more than two years behind the problem is getting worse

Almost four out of 10 mortgage-holders in deep arrears are not engaging with their lender on restructuring their loan, according to new data published by the Central Bank today.
