EdgeTier creates systems for customer contact centres that use artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and automation to assist agents in answering customer queries more efficiently, reducing handling times by up to 80 per cent. Co-founder Shane Lynn said: “The primary plans for EdgeTier this year include raising a seed round from venture investors to facilitate both the expansion of our delivery and sales teams, and increasing our sales presence in Britain contact centre market.” The company signed two major new enterprise clients in Q4 2018 for its email and chat AI products, with more than 400 agents using the system. It also expanded its team, adding two new developers to support new clients and product development.
