TikTok wants public café scrapped over ‘security’ fears
Social media firm also asked Dublin City Council to close off pedestrian walkway beside new riverfront office
TikTok has said a planned public café on the ground floor of its Dublin headquarters cannot go ahead and a pedestrian walkway must be closed off due to “security considerations”.
The Chinese-owned social media company has rapidly expanded its presence in Ireland in recent years and has leased office space for up to 3,000 workers in Dublin.
