Meta begins job cuts at Irish operation

The recruitment and marketing teams at Meta’s operations in Ireland have been hit hardest by the layoffs announced by the social media giant earlier today, the Business Post understands.

Facebook’s parent owner, which also owns WhatsApp and Instagram, confirmed this morning it is to cut 13 per cent of its global workforce resulting in more than 11,000 job losses.
