The purchase by the organisation covers 20 acres of the 37 acre site

South East Technological University (SETU) has reached an agreement to purchase 20 acres of the former Waterford Crystal site to enable expansion of the university in Waterford.

The land is directly adjacent to the existing SETU campus in the city. The announcement was made by Simon Harris, the minister for further and higher education, research, innovation and science.
