Extended delays caused by third-party objections are ramping up building costs and causing housing supply shortages

Supply, Supply, Supply. There’s an interesting idea around that is kind of counterintuitive: increased supply doesn’t lower prices, because supply was ramping up in the early 2000s and prices also rose back then. This is used as a common pushback against people who believe that fixing the housing problem mostly hinges on increasing supply, irrespective of how it’s done or who does it.
