‘Mixed score card’ for government on Sláintecare

Trinity professor Sara Burke says the government has been too slow to act on many recommendations for reforming Ireland’s health service

There are still “persistent delays” when it comes to the government’s movement on enacting Sláintecare, nearly six years after a 10-year plan aimed at reforming the health service was published, according to a government-funded health agency.

Sara Burke, a Trinity professor and a lead investigator at the Health Research Board (HRB), will tell the Oireachtas health committee today that the government deserves a “mixed score card” when it comes to implementing Sláintecare reforms.
