Rate hikes look inevitable in both of the next two months amid enduringly “hawkish” language from the leading voices in the European Central Bank (ECB), according to analysts.

The ECB looks certain to implement another half-point increase to interest rates when its governing council meets next week, and some experts believe the regulator will repeat the act the following month.
