Half of HR professionals don’t understand Ireland’s pension auto-enrolment system

The study found many businesses are unprepared for the long-delayed scheme

Half of human resources professionals do not fully understand Ireland’s proposed pension auto-enrolment system, a new study has found.

The research by Zellis, a payroll and HR software business, also found that 50 per cent of Irish companies are unprepared for auto-enrolment.

The scheme, first announced by the government in March of last year requires that all eligible employees working in Ireland are enrolled in a workplace pension scheme by early next year.
