Former Bank of Ireland interim CEO Gavin Kelly to head up lender’s new business arm

Kelly will lead the company’s corporate and markets division, which has staff across Europe

Gavin Kelly, the former Bank of Ireland interim chief executive, has been appointed as head of the lender’s corporate and markets division.

The company said in tandem with this, it will expand its corporate and markets arm to include “Business Banking”, which was previously part of the bank’s Retail Ireland Division. The branch will include more than 1,100 staff, of which 150 are spread across Britain, France, Germany, Spain and the US.
