Zamano profits drop despite strong UK sales

Company has cash to pursue acquisition opportunities

Changes hit mobile services group Zamano

Zamano, which supplies apps and services for mobile phones, has reported a drop in first-half pre-tax profits despite an 80 per cent increase in sales.

The company said margins had been affected by increased spending on advertising, while more UK third-party sales and some negative impact from currency movements also affected the figures.

Pre-tax profits for the period were just under €800,000, compared with €1.15m a year earlier. Sales jumped by 80.2 per cent to €18.75m....
