Wireless Group first-half pre-tax profit slips to £4.5 million

The radio group reported revenue of £38.2 million in its last set of results as an independent company

News Corp is acquiring Wireless Group for £220 million

Wireless Group, formerly UTV Media, has reported a pre-tax profit of £4.5 million (€5.2 million) for the first half, down from a restated £5 million for the same period a year earlier, in its last set of results as an independent company.

The firm, which is being acquired by News Corp in a £220 million all-cash offer worth 315 pence per share, said revenue from continuing operations...
