The Twitter ownership story and the changing fortunes of Netflix have overshadowed another seismic media event: Anne Robinson has quit as the presenter of Countdown on Channel 4. Like Elvis, the one-time ‘Queen of Mean’ has left the building after only a year in the presenter’s chair.
