It is hunting season and a ‘welcome sign’ marks the entrance to Alabama, but the view from within is an appalling vista of a state divided by the Judge Roy Moore debacle
As you cross the state line from Tennessee into Alabama, the first thing you notice is a very large, dead deer slumped between a sign that says “Welcome to Alabama” and another sign that says ‘Vote Roy Moore for Senate’.
A few yards further down the road, another dead deer is fairly spattered along a stretch of road. Then an opossum, which is basically a rat the size of smallish dog....
