Anne Jones of Genomics Medicine Ireland wants your DNA, and insists it will be ‘rigorously’ protected

Medical research company Genomics Medicine Ireland (GMI) will go for an initial public offering within the next two years.

Based in Dublin, GMI was acquired by Chinese genomics specialists WuXi Nextcode last November. The value of the deal was not disclosed, but the company committed to investing $400 million to GMI’s plan to sequence the genomes of 400,000 people in Ireland.
