Warburg Pincus considers investing in Irish distressed mortgage solution

Private equity giant Warburg Pincus has looked at the possibility of getting involved in a distressed mortgage loan solution for banks in Ireland, former Department of Finance head John Moran has said.

The $40 billion asset fund’s head of European investment, Daniel Zilberman, has had engagements with senior Department of Finance officials, while British managing director Peter Deming met senior people in the department along with Moran in December last, Freedom of Information records show....
