John Malone of Liberty Global: a merger with Vodafone could create Europe’s largest phone, internet and TV company

Vodafone is weighing up a merger with Irish American businessman John Malone’s Liberty Global in a move that would create Europe’s largest phone, internet and TV company.

The firm is holding internal discussions exploring a combination with Malone’s firm Liberty Global, according to a report from Bloomberg. Combined, the firms would be worth more than $130 billion.
