The chief executive of Tourism Ireland has said Ireland now attracts 10 per cent of US visitors to Europe.

Speaking at a mid-year review of the sector, Niall Gibbons visitor numbers in the first six months of the year increased by more than 13 per cent, or 500,000 people. Visitors from North America rose by 15 per cent.
