Cable King John Malone leads consortium purchase of former Four Seasons hotel for €54m
US telecoms billionaire John Malone will use a special tax-minimising investment vehicle to control his stake in the Intercontinental Hotel in Dublin.
A consortium chaired by Malone bought the former Four Seasons hotel in Ballsbridge last week for a figure understood to be around €54 million. The partnership behind the deal included Malone, who is reportedly worth up to €20 billion, and Irish investors Paul Higgins and the John Lally-controlled Lalco.
