Mother-of-two attacked by man reportedly shouting "Britain first"

Labour MP Jo Cox has died after being shot and stabbed in the street outside her constituency office.

The mother-of-two was attacked by a man believed to have been shouting “Britain first” at around lunchtime in Birstall, West Yorkshire.

Tonight Cox's husband Brendan said: "Jo believed in a better world and she fought for it everyday of her life with an energy, and a zest for life that would exhaust most people.
