Twelve take action over investment scheme

Three well-known legal figures are among a dozen legal and business people that have initiated High Court proceedings against financial advisory firm RSM Farrell Grant Sparks in recent weeks.

Financial advisory firm RSM Farrell Grant Sparks may be summoned to the High Court

Barrister and former chairman of the Bar Council Hugh Mohan, former celebrity sports agent and solicitor Dougie Heather, and barrister and Amnesty International activist Bill Shipsey have each lodged separate sets of legal proceedings.

The legal moves are believed to be related to a tax-efficient investment scheme that it is alleged did not perform as expected.

Neither those taking cases nor RSM Farrell Grant Sparks would discuss the matter.
