Declan Kelly, the Irish corporate advisory guru, former PR executive and former journalist, is in a spot of bother.

Last Thursday evening, the Financial Times reported, at length, the circumstances of his departure from the board of Global Citizen, a high-profile campaign group. It also reported that he had “ceded some of his responsibilities” as chairman and chief executive of the strategy company Teneo, which was described as an influential adviser to Fortune 500 companies.
