Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has ordered all Fine Gael TDs to be present for the motion of no confidence in Minister for Housing Eoghan Murphy that will be debated in the Dáil next week.

A terse email sent to Fine Gael deputies last week said all requests for absence would be refused and no new requests would be considered “for any reason whatsoever”.
