Spar launches Twitter fundraising campaign for children’s hospital

Spar plans to raise €200,000 within two years in its new role as partner of the National Children’s Hospital, writes Colette Sexton.

In a Twitter-based campaign, each time someone uses the #underthetree hashtag, one of the 1,600 bulbs on Spar’s Christmas Tree in Ranelagh will light up. Once the tree is fully illuminated, a €20,000 donation will be made to the hospital. Spar will raise the rest of the money from the sale...
