Search and seizure CRH raided in competition probe
Start of major investigation into cement industry

The state’s competition watchdog has dramatically raided facilities controlled by CRH, the country’s largest company with a market valuation of more than €20 billion.
The dawn raids took place on Thursday, with Irish competition investigators seizing thousands of documents from Irish Cement, a wholly owned subsidiary of CRH.
Large numbers of electronic files and server details have also been commandeered.
