Ronan’s €600m Facebook rent deal is largest in Irish history

Developer also plans to appeal decision to block Dublin’s tallest building on Tara Street

Developer Johnny Ronan’s Ronan Group Real Estate (RGRE) and its funding partners, Colony Capital, will be paid €600 million by social media giant Facebook over its 25-year lease agreement.

The deal by Facebook to lease the the entirety of Fibonacci Square, a 350,000 sq ft office space on the Merrion Road, is the biggest single letting in Irish history.

Property industry sources said that Facebook was paying over €60 per sq ft per annum...
