Revealed: Ardmore Studios was sold for just €6 million
It has emerged that Ardmore Studios was sold for just €6 million, less than the amount of money Enterprise Ireland wrote off to facilitate the sale.
The Wicklow-based studios were recently sold to Olcott Entertainment, which is led by Joe Devine, co-founder of Ion Equity and Troy Studios’ chair. Two-thirds of it had been owned by former U2 manager Paul McGuinness and accountant Ossie Kilkenny, while Enterprise Ireland had the remaining 32 per cent.
