Banking inquiry to hear Quinlan still ‘big believer’ in Ireland Inc despite move abroad

Derek Quinlan, the Celtic Tiger financier, will tell the banking inquiry this week he left Ireland to live in Switzerland to “maximise the returns to my creditor banks”.

Quinlan will insist he is a “big believer in the idea of ‘Ireland Inc’,” at the state’s investigation into the financial crisis, despite his decision to leave Ireland within a year of its economy crashing.
