A 2007 production of The Playboy of the Western World, starring Eileen Walsh, Giles Terera, and Angeline Ball, sparked a bitter legal row.

Playwright Bisi Adigun is facing a punitive legal bill of up to €600,000 for making “scandalous” allegations against his former solicitor in a dispute about the staging of a modern version of The Playboy of the Western World at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin.
