Ormond Hotel to reopen as first of new boutique hotel line

The Ormond Hotel, the prominent Liffey quayside property immortalised in James Joyce’s Ulysses, is to become the first property in a new boutique hotel brand led by Malaysian businessman Mark Lankester.

Lankester, who has starred in The Apprentice Asia television series, is already the chief executive of Tune Hotels, a popular value hotel group.

The Ormond, which has been closed since 2005, will be the first in the as yet unnamed new concept...
