App flips deal model to offer merchants reduced-price goods platform

A newly-launched app aims to flip the "deals website" model and offer better value to both consumers and retailers.

Existing "deals" sites such as Groupon take a hefty 35 per cent cut from merchants upfront.

While they may increase footfall, traders can often end up on the wrong side of the transaction, hoping for full-price repeat business which never actually transpires.
