The number of visits made to Ireland by overseas residents rose by 17 per cent in the three months from December to February to 1.69 million, new figures show.

The data, released by the Central Statistics Office, showed the number of trips by British residents increased by 21 per cent while visits from other European countries were up by 14.4 per cent. The number of trips made by North Americans increased by 13 per cent while trips...
