New Brexit poll shows Remain campaign at 52%
UKIP leader Farage says he is conceding defeat
British voters appear to have backed the country's membership of the European Union as counting got underway after a bitterly divisive referendum campaign ended tonight.
More than 380 constituencies will declare their votes in the coming hours, with a final announcement due at breakfast time tomorrow. The final result will be declared in Manchester.
But a poll for Sky News by YouGov indicated that the Remain campaign won by 52 per cent to 48 per cent....
