Mortgage accounts in arrears fell again in April

There were 108,911 accounts classified as 'restructured' at the end of April

The number of ‘principal dwelling’ mortgage accounts in arrears declined by 1,976 in April to stand at 82,271, according to new data from the Department of Finance.

Since last April, there has been a 23 per cent decrease in accounts in arrears past one day.Total accounts with no arrears increased by 1,641 to stand at 611,420 in the month, the Department said.
