MEPs’ copyright vote could give big boost to earnings of music creators

Tech giants like Google sharing music for free has had ‘catastrophic’ effect on industry income levels, says Imro chief

MEPs will this week cast a final vote on whether to introduce the European Union’s copyright directive. This directive would make tech platforms responsible for any copyright infringement by users. The Irish Music Rights Organisation (Imro). has called on MEPs to support its introduction.
