McEntee: Brexit transition ‘should take as long as it needs’

The European Affairs Minister has said the post-Brexit transition period should take as long as necessary and that it may not be possible to set a deadline.

Helen McEntee said the extension of deadlines in the Brexit talks already had demonstrated the difficulty and complexity of the issue. “I think a transition period should take as long as it needs to take,” she told The Sunday Business Post.
