Quaid makes environmentally friendly, handmade scented candles

A 14-year-old from Castlemahon, Limerick, has become the youngest ever producer of an item to be stocked in Shannon Duty Free.

After watching a YouTuber, Evan Quaid, got the idea to make candles. Quaid went on to win the junior category of the National Student Enterprise Programme last year.

Head of Commercial at Shannon Airport Darren Smyth said the airport was struck by Quaid’s enthusiasm and entrepreneurship as well as the quality of the candles....
