500 jobs to go as HP Inc reacts to falling printer and PC sales

HP Inc is to close its print business in Leixlip, resulting in the loss of almost 500 jobs.

Its parent company announced last year that it intended to cut up to 4,000 jobs worldwide as part of a restructuring plan.

HP Inc chief executive Dion Weisler said at the time that the company was facing volatile markets, though it continued to see long-term growth opportunities in areas such as 3D printing.
