Lawyers argue over Denis O’Brien’s ‘mysterious’ USB stick

O’Brien is back in the High Court over damaging dossiers, conspiracy theories and private investigators

Another courtroom. More lawyers. More journalists. Another legal challenge taken by the tycoon Denis O’Brien.

This time, O’Brien’s case was against a public relations firm called Red Flag Consulting.

Lawyers for O’Brien told Mr Justice Colm MacEochaidh in the High Court that Red Flag had produced a dossier that was “rife with defamatory material”. It was, O’Brien’s lawyers stated, part of a conspiracy to harm his interests....
