Britain’s data watchdog is set to ask its Irish counterpart to beef up its policing of the “deeply concerning” way Facebook targets ads at its users.

Experts told The Sunday Business Post that the move was “an unsubtle hint” that the Irish regulator needed to carry out investigations of how users’ data is used by advertisers.
