Ireland's manufacturing sector continued to expand in January, growing at the fastest pace since last July, a new survey shows.

The Investec and Markit Economic purchasing managers' index (PMI), which tracks activity in the sector, rose to 54.3 in January from 54.2 in December and 55.1 in the same month last year.
