Investigators suspect that Kelly bought horse with charity cash
A €20k eventing horse, €30k car and designer clothes are under investigation
The new management of Console has begun an investigation into whether €20,000 of the suicide prevention and bereavement counselling charity’s funds were used to acquire a high-end horse as founder Paul Kelly checks out of a psychiatric unit.
The horse appears to have been used for showjumping and eventing. A payment to purchase a car for €30,000 that was not previously identified, is also being probed.
