Intel to consider freezing eggs for women workers

Technology giant Intel is considering offering to pay for female employees to freeze their eggs as part of its new $300 million (€262 million) hiring and retention strategy, according to Intel vice president Margaret Burgraff.

The move comes on the back of fellow Silicon Valley companies, Apple and Facebook, adding egg freezing ‘perks’ for female employees, in a race to acquire and retain top female talent.
