Independent Alliance demands Dail be recalled over Apple tax ruling

Ross and McGrath want ‘strong motion on tax’ a condition of supporting appeal

Independent Alliance Ministers have demanded an early recall of the Dáil if they are to support Ireland’s appeal against the European Commission's €13 billion Apple ruling.

The independents made their feelings known at a cabinet meeting today during which the fallout from the commission's ruling was on the table.

It is understood that Fine Gael has not yet agreed to the demand which would see TDs return to Leinster House before...
