IBRC liquidators sue senior bankers

Move comes as the end of the liquidation of the bank approaches

The KPMG special liquidators of IBRC have begun two separate legal actions against two former senior bankers.

High Court filings last week show that IBRC has begun a debt recovery action against John Hughes, the former Head of Business Banking with AIB.

The action relates to borrowings Hughes owes jointly with Tom Browne, a former director of Anglo Irish Bank.
